People
At the core of a large and comprehensive Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the Ohio State University are its people. The Department has two dozen tenure-track faculty members and senior lecturers; over fifty graduate students and extra-departmental GTAs, most of whom are also graduate teaching assistants (GTAs); and many lecturers. Together, they teach more than 8,000 students each year at all levels, from elementary language, to major and minor courses, and masters and doctoral programs.
The activities of our faculty and students are coordinated, managed and assisted by nine dedicated full-time staff members and several graduate administrative associates and work-study students.
