Spanish Honors Program


The Department of Spanish and Portuguese offers both an Honors Major and Minor. If you have questions, please contact an academic advisor.

Honors Major

The Spanish major consists of a minimum of 50 credit hours distributed as indicated below. A minimum grade of “C-” in all courses comprising the major is required. Students must maintain a minimum CPHR of 3.4 throughout the honors program. IMPORTANT: All Honors students, regardless of their major, minor, or college of enrollment, are required to follow the Honors program for a major or minor in Spanish.

Graduation with Honors in the Liberal Arts with a major in Spanish

Orientation (12 hours). These 3 courses are required.
