I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Puerto Rico. I went to graduate school at Indiana University where I completed two Master's Degrees: one in Library Science and another in Comparative Literature. My master's research project was about Naturalism in France, Spain and Puerto Rico with a major emphasis on the works of Manuel Zeno Gandia. I worked for many years as a librarian doing reference work and cataloging. I worked at University of Texas, A&A and at University of Phoenix, PR Campus. I also taught Humanities and basic and advanced Spanish language composition to undergraduate adult students. I am interested in film studies, mythology and comparative religion. I am an avid reader of science fiction, fantasy and the classics.
