Mark Hoff

Mark Hoff is a PhD candidate in Hispanic Linguistics. His specializations include morphosyntactic variation and pragmatics, which he approaches primarily through quantitative methodologies. His dissertation research is concerned with mood variation in Bonaerense Spanish and the way speakers' modd choice reflects their certainty about future events. He has published research on differential object marking and language attitudes in Argentine Spanish and has also explored questions of language variation and change in Brazilian Portuguese and Italian.
