Bexley Hispanic Heritage Festival
The Bexley Hispanic Heritage Festival takes place this Friday, Sept. 22 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Michelle Wibbelsman will be sharing her children's book On the Wings of the Condor and announcing a series of workshops in collaboration with the Bexley Public Library designed to help parents and children research and publish their own stories.
On the Wings of the Condor is a children’s book that weaves a personal and intergenerational family story with historical, geographical, mythic and cultural content on the Andes. Especially for children growing up away from their cultures, seeing their stories nested within family narratives and broader histories can provide a unique sense of self value, awareness and personal empowerment.
