Please join us in welcoming Juan González on the 50th year anniverasry of the 1965 Immigration Act as he speaks on the historical context of the act, the its influence in today's society, and how it affects different migrant populations. 

Juan González is a journalist, co-host of the news program Democracy Now!, and author of Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America and News for All the People: The Epic Story of Race and the American Media.

The lecture will be followed by a reception and book signing.
