Ernesto Martinez is an Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies at the University of Oregon and author of On Making Sense: Queer Race Narratives of Intelligibility (Stanford University Press, 2012) and co-editor of Gay Latino Studies: A Critical Reader. Dr. Martinez will present the talk: "To Know and Be Known: Queer Race Narratives of Intelligibility".

Priscilla Ovalle is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Oregon and author of  Dance and the Hollywood Latina: Race, Sex, and Stardom. Dr. Ovalle will present the talk: "How Dancing Latinas Framed Hollywood Hair, from the Wide Shot to the Close-Up".
