Book Signing Information:
Ohio State's Frederick Luis Aldama (Arts and Humanities Distinguished Professor of English) signs copies of his new book, The Cinema of Robert Rodriguez , (2014, University of Texas Press) at 6:30 pm in the Wexner Center Store.
Movie Information:
Following the book signing, the movie El Mariachi will be played in the Wexner Auditorium. Shot on a small budget in northern Mexico, this film became a surprise hit which helped launch Robert Rodriguez's career. The first of his Mexico Trilogy (with Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico), El Mariachi follows a traveling musician who is mistaken for a violent criminal and then targeted by a local drug lord and his henchman. (81 minutes, 35mm)
