20th Annual Symposium - Gender Poder e Instituicoes | Keynote speaker, Dr. Ana Paula Ferreira, University of Minnesota

Dr. Ana Paula Ferreira holds an MA in Hispanic Literatures and a PhD in Luso-Brazilian Literatures from New York University. She is currently Professor of Spanish and Portuguese Studies and Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Minnesota. She specializes in Portuguese and Brazilian literatures, critical race studies, feminist and gender studies, and colonial/postcolonial studies. In 2015, she co-edited New Portuguese Letters to the World – International Reception. Taking a feminist approach, this book maps the reception of Maria Isabel Barreno’s New Portuguese Letters (1972) in Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, the UK, Ireland, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Scandinavia.
