Bolivian film director and screenwriter, Alvaro Olmos, was born in Cochabamba in 1983. He graduated from the Catholic University with a degree in Social Communications, where his experience as a teaching assistant in Cinema Studies and Mass Communications classes from 2003-04, led him to his present career.

Alvaro Olmos is a Bolivian filmmaker at Empatia Cinema. In the talk, he will show excerpts from two of his films, Diario de piratas, a portrait of Bolivian women who do small time smuggling to survive, and San Antonio, focused on prisons in Bolivia.
