Bolivian rapper Ukamau y ké (Abraham Bojórquez) forms an important part of the unfolding of the local and international hip hop movement. He was an activist and a pioneer for hip hop in Aymara. He died unexpectedly at the peak of his musical career. Years later, his friend, Ecuadorian rapper and director, Andrés Ramírez, returns to Bolivia to uncover the reasons for his death. In this journey, Ukamau y ké comes back to life through archival material and contemporary interviews. You won't want to miss this screening of Ukamau y ké, followed by a Q&A with Andrés Ramírez. Light refreshments will be served at the event!
