Join Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center’s Hispanic Latino Network as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday, September 16, from noon to 2 p.m. with guest speaker Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa.

From the humblest  beginnings in Mexicali, Mexico, Dr. Quinones-Hinojosa literally jumped the border fence into the United States for a better future. He won a scholarship to Berkeley, later graduating cum laude as valedictorian  for his Harvard medical class of 1999 and finishing his neurosurgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco. With an unparalleled drive and passion,  he worked to become an internationally renowned neuroscientist and neurosurgeon at the Johns  Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

A brilliant and talented physician, Dr. Quinones’s keynote will include lessons in diversity and health care.

Registration is not required to attend and refreshments will be provided.
