Announcing GAANN Fellowship

GAANN

The Department of SPPO is proud to announce the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship.

The Ohio State University Spanish and Portuguese GAANN program will provide fellowships to students enrolled in any track of the PhD in Spanish or in the PhD in Portuguese Studies who wish to develop expertise in two or more of the following areas: heritage language teaching, the teaching of languages and cultures for the professions, or technology-enhanced teaching of Spanish and Portuguese, IN ADDITION to their specialization in Hispanic Linguistics, Iberian Studies, Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies, or Portuguese Studies.

GAANN Fellows are true fellowship recipients. They are not Graduate Assistants and are not required to provide service hours to the Department.

We are seeking applications from current SPPO students for a GAANN fellowship to fund their Spring 2016 semester. Priority will be given to advanced Ph.D. students. The deadline to submit the necessary materials is Monday, November 9th by 5pm.

More details about the fellowship and the required materials can be found at:
