Professor Anna Babel, current graduate student Anahís Samamé Rispa, and recent graduates Dr. Justin Pinta (Mississippi State University), Dr. Hugo Salgado (Iowa State University), and Paola Enriquez Duque (George Mason University) recently attended the Asociación de Lingüística y Filología de Ameríca Latina (ALFAL), a prestigious triennial international conference that took place in Lima, Peru. OSU participants gave talks in a subsection of the conference that focused on language contact between Spanish and indigenous Latin American languages.
