Dr. Anna Babel visited the Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba, Bolivia and gave two talks.

The first, aimed at graduate students and professors, focused on methods and was entitled “Migrantes bolivianos en España: ¿Por qué nos interesa la consciencia sociolingüística?"

The second, presented primarily to undergraduate students in Linguistics, was presented in English and entitled “Who counts as a speaker of a language? A sociolinguistic perspective"

This visit was part of Dr. Babel's Fulbright-Hays grant in Spain and Bolivia and included data from her current research on Bolivian migrants in Spain, as well as other ongoing research projects.
