Mohamed Gabal, Ph.D. candidate in SPPO and an Arab-Brazilian entrepreneur, was the featured speaker at the Columbus Rotary Club on August 11 at The Boathouse Restaurant. He presented “Doing Business Across Cultures: Lessons Learned Across Three Continents,” sharing stories about how trust, persistence, and human connection drive international trade. Structured in four acts, his talk traced his experience founding an international trading company during Brazil’s recession, navigating the challenges of the pandemic, and pursuing his current academic path at The Ohio State University.
