Portuguese Graduate Student Research Highlight
We are pleased to share some excellent news at the start of the semester. Maria Vitória de Rezende Grisi, a PhD student in Portuguese, has published an article in Portuguese Studies, one of the most prestigious journals in the field, as part of a special issue commemorating the journal’s 40th anniversary.
In her article, Maria Vitória brings together literary studies and digital humanities by using geospatial analysis (GIS) to examine literary space and social inequality through Rachel de Queiroz’s O Quinze. Her work engages current conversations in digital humanities, literary criticism, and cultural analysis.
We congratulate Maria Vitória on this outstanding achievement and celebrate the strong research produced by our graduate students in Portuguese.
