Professor Elizabeth Davis has been elected President of the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry. The SRBHP is an association that brings together early modernist scholars dedicated to research on sixteenth- and seventeenth-century poetry, both lyric and epic, of Iberia and of Colonial Latin America. The journal of the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry is Calíope, a journal that publishes the work of poetry scholars on both sides of the Atlantic, in both English and Spanish.
