
International Mother Language Day 2021
Understanding the Importance of Languages for Identities and Communities
The International Mother Language Day was designated by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2002. This OSU event has been organized to celebrate International Mother Language Day 2021 and the importance of mother languages & linguistic diversity. It will feature a panel made up of graduate students who are mother tongue speakers of minority and indigenous languages. This event is co-sponsored by the T&L DECo, Foreign Language Research & Teaching student group, and the EHE EDGE Office.
