John Grinstead presented at the II Congreso Internacional en Trastornos de la Comunicación at the University of Talca, Chile on a language disorder known as Specific Language Impairment (SLI) and on the grammatical profile of monolingual Spanish-speaking children who have this problem. While visiting, he also gave a class on child language acquisition and participated in a symposium on early intervention and diagnosis of children with SLI. As with many conferences, the visit afforded the opportunity to plan future collaborations and discuss institutional cooperation in Spain and Latin America.
