Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Anthony Palmiscno Named Recipient of 2019-2020 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards (GATA)

Anthony Palmiscno

It is an immense pleasure to announce that Anthony Palmiscno, a Graduate Teaching Associate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, has won one of the 2019-2020 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards (GATA).

The GATA is Ohio State’s highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates:  https://gradsch.osu.edu/gata.  There are over 3000 GTAs at OSU, and only 10 GATA awards are given out each year.  In sum, this is a wonderful recognition of Anthony's strengths as an instructor.

While we could not surprise Anthony this year in-person through a face-to-face class visit, Dean Alicia Bertone gave him a call last week to congratulate him and "present" him with the award.

Congratulations, Anthony!
