"Divino Amor" Gabriel Mascaro, 2019

Divino Amor (Gabriel Mascaro 2019), a Portuguese film created by Gabriel Mascaro will be available on through the Wexner Center from now until December 24th. Set in a future Brazil where the Evangelical Church controls daily life, the feature film follows the story of a woman who uses her government position to save struggling couples from divorce. The film is in Portuguese with English subtitles.

Gabriel Mascaro was a resident artist at the Wexner Center back in 2014 as part of the amazing Cruzamentos exhibit. Mascaro's residency in the center’s Film/Video Studio supported the project and it was the result of a partnership with Associação Cultural Videobrasil, São Paulo. He is also one of the participating filmmakers in the center's Artist Residency Award project Cinetracts '20. (101 mins., digital video).
