We regret to announce to the community the untimely passing of our colleague and friend, Prof. Javier Gutiérrez-Rexach. Javier passed away on Sunday April 10 of heart disease. He was a much beloved member of OSU Department of Spanish & Portuguese and of the national and international community of Hispanic Linguistics, among which he was considered a major figure. Plans for a memorial have not yet been announced. We hold the family in our thoughts and prayers for this profound loss.
