Megan Lobert, SPPO's Acting Language Program Director, has won a Fulbright grant! Please join us in congratulating her on this wonderful honor and professional opportunity.

Megan has been selected by the United States Fulbright Commission to serve a ten-month appointment beginning in September 2018 as a Teaching Assistant at IE University in Madrid, Spain for the 2018-2019 academic year. Her primary responsibilities at the university will include collaborative teaching in Advanced English and Academic Writing courses, leading staff/professor interest groups, as well as designing and hosting talks related to American studies in classes or events organized by the regional Education Department. Lastly, Megan will lead a project to develop an online platform that seeks to establish a virtual, international language exchange between Ohio State University's Department of Spanish and Portuguese and IE University.

SPPO is thrilled about the new opportunities that may be opened up for our unit through Megan's efforts in the coming year.
