SPPO Ph.D. candidate Justin Pinta has been featured in the Ohio State Fulbright and Fulbright-Hays Virtual 2021 Reception video. Justin’s project “Minority Language Resilience in Corrientes, Argentina” was selected for funding under the 2019 U.S. Department of Education Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program. The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program provides opportunities to doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. The program is designed to contribute to the development and improvement of the study of modern foreign languages and area studies in the United States.  The DDRA grant is highly competitive with only approximately 90 awards selected annually for funding nationwide, across disciplines, and Justin was the only Fulbright Hays awardee from Ohio State in 2019!
