Trauma-Informed Care Workshop Held Online with Over 125 Participants!

Trauma-Informed Care Workshop

Sarah Little, a SPPO undergraduate & graduate alumnus, and Masters student in Speech-Language Pathology at OSU, and Jen Brello of Speech and Hearing Science put on an excellent online workshop on April 4, 2020. The workshop provided an introduction to trauma-informed care and its goal was to equip professionals with resources to create trauma-sensitive spaces. Guest speakers for this workshop included Ms. Katrina Ruege, M.Ed., Ms. Christy Lumpkins, LISW-S, Ms. Erika Stromsoe, LISW-S, Dr. Paula Rabidoux, PhD., CCC-SLP, Dr. Andrea Witwer, Ph.D., and Dr. Theresa Mata Pistokache, Ph.D., CCC-SLP.

The workshop was originally planned as an in-person event, but thanks to Sarah Little and Jen Brello, it was transitioned to an online format with over 125 participants! Congratulations on the workshop's success and thank you for all of your hard work, Sarah and Jen!
