Originally from Central California, Dr. Jasso's journey into academia and clinical practice has been shaped by his personal experiences as the son of immigrants. His academic pursuits began with an undergraduate degree in linguistics from UC Davis, followed by graduate studies in speech-language pathology. Dr. Jasso's clinical work primarily focused on pediatric settings, where he worked with early communicators and young children from racially and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Driven by a passion for understanding how language impacts health and quality of life, Dr. Jasso pursued a PhD in language acquisition, specifically focusing on bilingual children.
