Isabelle Leimkuhler is a PhD student in Hispanic Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University. Her research interests include applied linguistics, pragmatics, L2 phonology, second language acquisition, and language variation. 

Isabelle is currently teaching SPAN courses at The Ohio State University as a Graduate Teaching Associate. Previously, she taught SPAN 1001 at the University of Georgia while completing her Master's degree in Hispanic Linguistics. Isabelle also worked as an ESL instructor (English as a second language), teaching Traditional ESL classes and conversation classes at Casa de Amistad in Athens, Georgia from 2023-2025 and ESL at English for All in Athens, Ohio in Spring 2023. Isabelle is excited to follow her passion for Spanish language learning and teaching while continuing her studies in Hispanic Linguistics at The Ohio State University!
