Pedro Antonio is a fifth-year student at The Ohio State University M.A/PhD. program in Hispanic Linguistics. After studying at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he was hired as an external Research Assistant for the National Science Foundation-funded project “Determinants of Existential Interpretation in Typical and Atypical Child Spanish” (NSF-1551903) from October 2016 to August 2019. His primary research interests include child language acquisition (morphosyntax/ semantics and pragmatics), language disorders (SLI), psycholinguistics processes of bilingualism (the role of working memory capacity), L2-Spanish acquisition of rhotics by L1-mandarin speakers, as well as morphological variation for the expression of non-binary identities in Spanish. Pedro Antonio is a member of the Spanish & Portuguese Language Acquisition Lab.
