Victor Vimos is a third-year student in the Ohio State University´s M.A./Ph.D. program. His specialty is Latin American Cultural and Literary Studies. He studied Anthropology in Ecuador and Peru, and Literature in United States. His primary research interests include interdisciplinary approach between Anthropology and Literature to carry research around ritual activity in indigenous communities, particularly the relationship between human beings with animate and inanimate entities, mediated by poetic language. His academic interests also include the iexploration of ritual and poetry in writers from Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, focusing on the relationship of their writing with identity, race, power, class and altered states of perception.
