Victor Vimos is a first-year student in the Ohio State University´s M.A./Ph.D. program. His specialties are Latin American Culture and Literary Studies. He studied Anthropology in Ecuador and Peru, developing an interest in the Andean area. His primary research interests include ritual activity in indigenous communities, particularly the relationship between human beings with animate and inanimate entities, mediated by poetic language. His academic interests also include the interdisciplinary exploration of ritual and poetry in writers from Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, focusing on the relationship of their writing with identity, race, power, and altered states of perception.
