The department is excited to announce that SPPO graduate student Angela Acosta has been awarded a Coca-Cola Critical Difference for Women Research Grant for the 2021-2022 academic year through The Women's Place at OSU! The grant will provide Angela with funding for books and requesting archival materials for her dissertation project, "Memorializing the Spanish Avant-Garde: The Gendered Dynamics of Inclusion in Homages to the Generation of 1927". Angela says that she is looking forward to using the funding to order some recent editions of works by twentieth century women writers that she will analyze in her dissertation and other future publications.
