Germán E. Alcaraz is a Graduate Teaching Associate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University. His research focuses on applied linguistics, specifically Phonetics, Phonology, and Sociolinguistics.
At OSU, Germán teaches Spanish language and linguistics courses at the 1000 and 3000 levels. From Fall 2026, he also serves as the co-coordinator of SPAN3401: Advanced Spanish Grammar.
Prior to joining OSU, Germán served as a language professor and principal of a bilingual school in Argentina, where he acquired extensive experience leading instructional teams and developing curricula and syllabi.
