Ellie is a third-year student in the department of Hispanic Linguistics. Her main research focus is sociophonetics and she has done work on the production of liquid consonants /l/ and /r/ in Cuban Spanish. She also does research on the efficacy of demonstrations about linguistics in informal learning environments like CoSi.
