Ellie is in her 4th year in the Hispanic Linguistics program. She has conducted research about informal Linguistics education at the CoSi science museum, including research discussed in her publication here:

She is interested in sociophonetics, and her current projects are about perceptions of Spanish-accented English, and investigating the effect of background noise interrupting pronunciations with variably reduced coda /s/.
