Lucas is a second-year M.A. student in Hispanic Linguistics. His research interests include sociophonetics, language variation, and language contact. He is currently working on his master's thesis, which investigates sociophonetic variation in Andalusian Spanish. In Autumn 2025, Lucas is teaching a section of Spanish 1101 and looks forward to sharing his passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures with his students.
