Departmental Exams for Spanish | Spanish & Portuguese

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese offers Validation Exams for SPAN 1101, 1102, 1155, and 1103, typically after posting of prior testing measures, free of charge. We also offer a SPAN 2202 EM exam ($70 fee). These exams are available at the beginning of the autumn and spring semesters only. Specifically, Spanish Departmental Exams are available 8:00 am on Monday of Week 1 through 11:59 pm on Tuesday of Week 2.

If you are interested in taking a course-level Validation Exam for SPAN 1101, 1102, 1155 or 1103, or a SPAN 2202 EM exam, please review the information here, then complete and submit this registration form. The deadline to register is 3:00 pm the day prior to the exam (excluding weekends). For example, if you wish to take an exam on Wednesday of Week 1, your registration must be submitted no later than 3:00 pm on Tuesday of Week 1. The absolute last day to register for a Spanish Departmental Exam is Monday by 3:00 pm in Week 2 of the semester.
