Recognizing the Spanish Advanced Placement Exam Readers from Our Department

High school teachers and college professors from all over the country get together for a week every summer to grade the Spanish Advanced Placement exams of students who will be starting their undergraduate studies in the fall in many universities. All readers work together and learn from the process to ensure students receive the grade they deserve. This service provided by all readers strives to give students a fair and consistent grading that reflects all their years of hard work. Since June 12, 2022, about 800 readers have been working from home to grade approximately 200,000 exams. Among those readers are several of SPPO’s own faculty, including Prof. Eugenia Romero, Associated Faculty Maribel Corona, and Graduate Teaching Associate Anthony Palmiscno. Their work is key to ensure that students receive the appropriate credit as they begin their college education and continue their study of Spanish. They’ve been working hard at grading all those exams so students can receive their credits before starting college in the fall. Our thanks to all AP readers, and particularly to our own faculty for your dedication! We are glad that our students can count on you!
