Born in Brazil, he has studied Literature and Literary Theory at UNICAMP (Universidade Estadual de Campinas). He works mainly with Brazilian Colonial Poetry, but has also interests in Music, Fine Arts, Philosophy and Cinema.

He has published Obras Poéticas de Manuel Inácio da Silva Alvarenga (Martins Fontes, 2005), A ficção do cientista: a respeito da ‘Modesta Proposta’ de Swift (in Remate de Males, Editora da Unicamp, v. 32, n. 2, 2012) and Da Potência do Homem’, o elogio poético de Tommaso Campanella (in Cadernos de Literatura em Tradução, Editora da Universidade de São Paulo, n. 13, 2013)
